INTERAlliance TechOlympics 2016

On Saturday, February 20, 2016, the UCSIM | Center for Simulations & Virtual Environments Research joined the INTERAlliance TechOlympics 2016 at the Millenium Hotel in downtown Cincinnati.  Sponsored by the INTERAlliance of Greater Cincinnati, the TechOlympics is an annual technology competition and expo for area high school students to compete and network with professionals from local companies.

The three day program included keynote presentations by University of Cincinnati President Santa J. Ono, Stuart Aitken, CEO of 84.51°, and Brian Lawhorn, Vice President at The Kroger Co., as well as breakout presentation sessions, a robotics competition, hack-a-thons, an expo hall, and school competitions in the categories of Innovative Programming, Digital Design, Accelerate, and STEM.

Chris Collins, technical lead at UCSIM, also gave a breakout presentation entitled “Virtual Reality: Imagine the Future” to a packed audience at the event.
